Moving checklist:-

Step 1.

Prepare inventory of all your possessions, throw away anything you do not want to take with you.. have a good clear out.

Step 2.

Decide whether you will be moving items yourself or whether you want to hire a removal van.

Step 3.

Book a removal van or hire vehicle.

Step 4.

Purchase or obtain moving material, e.g. boxes, bubble wrap.

Step 5.

Inform local authority, doctors, dentist and schools of your change of address.

Step 6.

Inform all utility providers of your house move. Ensure you take all meter readings when leaving the property.

Step 7.

Inform the DVLA, insurance companies, TV License etc.

Step 8.

Terminate any regular deliveries such as, morning or evening newspapers etc.

Step 9.

Defrost your freezer before removal.

Step 10.

Pack all your financial paperwork and take it with you, this way nothing with get lost in removal.

Step 11.

Finally inform people of your change of address.
